Action film starring active-duty Navy SEALs and reportedly using live ammo in order to make the violence seem real: US soldiers are deployed to rescue an undercover CIA agent, who uncovered an international conspiracy started by a drug smuggler working with a jihadi agent to bring explosive-vest wearing terrorists into the United States. A man hugs a woman and they kiss as the man holds the woman's head in his hands. A man jokes that he had tried to get a man in bed "years ago.
A small baby is seen without a shirt. We see women wearing skimpy bikinis they are seen through a surveillance shot and a woman wearing a skimpy bikini her cleavage is exposed serves a man a drink. A soldier from a helicopter shoots a man standing in front of the glass door of a yacht the glass is sprayed with blood and it breaks behind the man's head as he drops to the ground.
A soldier on a boat fires at a man standing on the deck of a yacht and the bullet strikes the man in the middle of the forehead we see blood spray from the back of the man's head. As soldiers go through a series of buildings we see a sniper shoot four men sneaking out of the building; we see the shadow of the bullets hitting their bodies as they twist and fall to the ground.
Soldiers storm onto a yacht, and we see two soldiers in a speed boat following a boat as it quickly sails away from a yacht and one soldier shoots the boat's driver we see the body slump over. I was on the edge of my seat throughout all of the action scenes. They were intense, bloody, and suspenseful. The only concern I have with the violence is the torture scene and the bomb scene at the first of the film where many children die.
But thankfully they left it off screen. In conclusion, there was spectacular action scenes but terrible dialogue and acting, and a cliched script. I would have to give it 3. After I saw this movie I learned to respect the soldiers who serve us with more respect.
At the end you will hear a poem and if you listen to the words you will agree with me. Teen, 14 years old Written by awww June 25, It was kinda like call of duty so if your kids play that they can see this. Teen, 14 years old Written by kojimoto June 22, You will be moved. Are you serious Common Sense? And yes, war is violent, and there is little or no way to portray war without it.
And the torture scenes are easily avoidable as well. Yes i do think it's a bit much to see in a theater with children, but watching it on a small screen would be fine with ages 10 and up.
The shooting violence shows some blood, but always from a distance. The most upsetting scenes include when spoiler the main character who might i add has a child on the way takes a grenade for the team, and when terrorist blows up a school of children. That scene doesn't show the children exploding, but you hear it.
It is a truly heartfelt story about the cunning sacrifices our US Army makes day by day for us, and should be seen by all families. As for the language, there are only about a dozen F words, that is less than most war movies, and it is done during combat, so it is hard to hear it. One more gruesome part i might add is when a soldiers eyelid melts and his eye falls out.
We only see that briefly, and then it is bandaged, but if you can't handle gruesome things like that, it's best that you turn away. Watch this movie, and you will be moved. Teen, 13 years old Written by miercoles June 10, Great Movie Pretty violent, lots of swearing, but the heroism makes it all worthwile.
Teen, 15 years old Written by husker97 April 17, Yeah, i know there is a lot of violence, but thats just the realities of war. If your teen is interested in the military, and can handle blood then take them to see this movie. It is full of postitive roll modles and a good message too.

Many people are shot and killed. A woman is tortured with injuries shown, very bloody, her hands are drilled right through They have plenty of support in their travel plans as they have access to aircraft carriers, submarines, speed boats, large air transports and parachutes to assist them in getting to the ground or water, as the case may be. They also have all kinds of high tech weapons, more firepower than was expended in WWII and people who can breathe underwater.
They find out while carrying out a rescue mission that there is much more at stake than the life of a single person. The action sequences using real guns with blanks and tracers only and the fact the military gave the filmmakers access to a number of expensive military items, makes for an intense experience. While always out numbered in their raids, they are always capable of bringing along enough backup support and firepower to disintegrate a small city if need be.
The film is made as fiction but is based on real life experiences and techniques used by the Seal Teams.
